MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — A Wisconsin sports team is partnering up with local health care providers to give out vaccines at a game this week.
According to a press release, the Milwaukee Bucks are partnering with the Milwaukee County Health Department to administer COVID-19 vaccinations to eligible fans at their game on Sunday, May 2nd. Eligible fans will be able to receive a first dose Pfizer vaccine at the Panorama Club inside Fiserv Forum.
The vaccine clinic will open at 1 p.m. an hour and a half before tip-off and remain open until the conclusion of Sunday’s game. All fans 16 years and older can visit the Panorama Club at any time during that window to receive their first dose of the vaccine.
Milwaukee Health Department officials will also be on-site to schedule appointments for administering the second dose of the vaccine at a later date. Pfizer vaccinations require a 3-week waiting period between each shot.
It is expected that the entire vaccine process will take between 20-30 minutes for fans to receive the vaccine. That time frame includes sign up, receiving the vaccine, and a waiting period of approximately 15 minutes after the shot is administered.
