Biography

IU WBB Game Photo.jpg

Originally from Northern Indiana, Liz first found her love of sports at home on the TV screen and on the radio. After being introduced to sports, Liz knew she would one day work in the world of sports. It wasn't until she went to the University of Indianapolis that she found broadcasting a path to working in sports.

At UIndy, Liz broadened her horizons and actively participated in the field of radio and sports media. Liz worked stints as both the news director and the production director for WICR, a top 20 station in a top 40 market. She has experience in several broadcast areas including, play by play, color commentary, sideline reporting, and studio hosting. Liz served in these roles for multiple sports including football, basketball, baseball, and hockey. She also has experience being an on-air personality, morning show host, promotions assistant, and news reporter.

Liz then spent three years as a reporter on WSAU AM/FM in Wausau Wisconsin for Midwest Communications. She was also the FOX Sports Radio High School Game Night host for Central Wisconsin high school sports. She also hosted morning weekend air shifts on sister active rock station Rock 94.7 sharing her first love of rock music as Liz Stark.

Liz then transitioned into the world of college athletics as a communications assistant for UNI Athletics. Telling the story of high school athletes during the COVID-19 pandemic inspired Liz to make telling athlete stories her lifelong goal. As a member of the UNI Athletics communication staff, Liz covered women's soccer, women's basketball, and softball through struggles, success, and heartbreaking season finales. Through all of those experiences, Liz has strived to cover the human side of the game, empathizing with athletes and their experiences.

Liz currently works for the University of Evansville as the Director of Media Relations in the athletic department. Excited to be back in her home state of Indiana, Liz handles communications for the men's soccer, women's basketball, cross country and track and field programs. Liz also oversees social media strategy for the department while helping in other areas like marketing and game operations.
